Warning

In an effort to reduce the tire to brake gap the CDP brake mounts closer to the tire than many other brakes. It is designed to be compatible with 25c tires for most bikes. However, some frame makers have a great deal of variation with resect to the location of the chain stay cross brace that the rear brake mounts to. If your cross brace is unusually close to the wheel, 25c tires may not fit, and in some cases, a 25c tire might have a close fit.

A typical distance from the center of the brake mount to the tire is 16 to 17 mm (0.63 to 0.67 in).

If the distance is 10 mm (0.39 in) or less, do not use this brake.

If the distance is 11 mm (0.43 in) to 13 mm (0.51 in), there may not be enough clearance for 25 c tires and this brake is not recommended.
